WorkshopsGrades: 3-5, 6-8, 9-12

Registration is now open for our March four-week live Zoom workshops. In keeping with our goal of helping you to raise confident-writing, avid-reading, word-loving kids, we offer writing, reading comprehension, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary workshops for grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Each workshop is designed to reinforce existing English Language Arts skills while developing the skills necessary for student success at the next level. In addition to our weekly interactive live Zoom, we provide each student with a PDF workbook, access to a classroom with additional materials, and a weekly assignment with feedback.

Our workshops …

Our workshops take grade 3-5 kids from prompt to paragraph, grade 6-8 kids from paragraph to the three-paragraph middle school essay, and grade 9-12 teens from three paragraphs to the five-paragraph high school essay. Similarly, vocabulary for grades 3-5 starts with concepts, for grades 6-8 moves on to root words, and those in grades 9-12 tackle advanced vocabulary. We also offer workshops at each level for reading comprehension, grammar, and punctuation. Take a look at what’s offered in March.

March workshops

Punctuation: Contractions and Possessives for grades 3-5 – This four-week interactive live Zoom workshop introduces your child to the tricky world of the apostrophe. We look at the difference between contractions and possessives. Then, we look at possessives that don’t take an apostrophe at all! Offered in March on Mondays from 4:00-4:45 PT and Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45 ET.

Punctuation: FANBOYS, semicolons, and colons for grades 6-8 – This four-week interactive live Zoom workshop leaves your middle-schooler with several methods for joining clauses and phrases. They’ll also have the experience to know when each is appropriate. Offered in March on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 ET.

Shakespeare: Macbeth for grades 9-12 – This four-week interactive live Zoom workshop brings your teen into Shakespeare’s world. We use a blend of the Folger method and our own method to create an experience that may not have your kid begging for more, but will at least leave them with an appreciation of Shakespeare’s work overall and Macbeth in particular. Offered in March on Wednesdays from 8:15-9:30 ET.

We hope to see your child/teen in one of our workshops!
